Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the opening of a new bridge on Al Khail Road between Al Khamila and Hessa Street intersections. The two-lane bridge, handling up to 3,200 vehicles per hour, aims to improve traffic flow toward Deira.
Additionally, 900 meters of surface road upgrades were completed as part of the project. This 700-meter bridge is designed to enhance connectivity between Jumeirah Village Circle and Al Khail Road, facilitating easier access to Deira and connecting key residential and development areas for optimized transport.
Earlier, on September 15, the RTA unveiled two more bridges in Dubai, part of the Garn Al Sabkha-Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road Intersection Improvement Project, which is projected to reduce travel time by up to 70%, according to RTA Director-General Mattar Al Tayer.
