Epson has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art Innovation Centre at Dubai Production City, reinforcing its commitment to technological advancement and sustainability. This regional hub will showcase cutting-edge printing, scanning, visual display, and manufacturing solutions, shaping the future of industry innovation.
Strengthening Regional Collaboration
The opening ceremony was attended by key executives, including Yasunori Ogawa, CEO of Seiko Epson Corporation, and Neil Colquhoun, President of Epson META-CWA, alongside UAE dignitaries and business leaders. The Centre aims to connect local insights with Epson’s R&D teams in Japan, ensuring tailored solutions for the region’s evolving digital transformation needs.
Driving Industry Growth and Innovation
Epson has invested over USD 1 million into the Innovation Centre, which will serve as a key platform for businesses across the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, and Central & West Asia. The Centre’s strategic location within Dubai Production City, a TECOM Group business district, provides access to a diverse and dynamic market.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Media City, Dubai Production City, and Dubai Studio City, highlighted the Centre’s role in advancing Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33 and the National Strategy for the Cultural and Creative Industries.
Empowering Businesses and Professionals
The Innovation Centre will host:
- Workshops, seminars, and training sessions for Epson’s partners and customers.
- Specialized programs for industries such as education, healthcare, finance, and entertainment.
- Live demonstrations of Epson’s latest technology, including:
- Q-series projectors for home and entertainment use.
- EcoTank and WorkForce Enterprise printers, known for ultra-low energy consumption.
- SurePress and SureColor printing solutions for commercial applications.
Expanding Epson’s Regional Presence
The Centre’s launch follows the establishment of Epson META-CWA in 2024, with over 330 employees, including 130+ in the UAE. It further strengthens Epson’s regional investment of USD 13 million between 2022 and 2024.
With 1,100 square meters of space and an innovative glass façade, the Epson Innovation Centre is set to become a cornerstone for regional digital transformation, fostering collaboration, sustainability, and cutting-edge advancements in technology.
